The Dingle peninsula &
Slea Head
The Dingle
Peninsula is a ‘Gaeltacht’ area where most people
speak Irish as their first language. Your tour
will take you to the most westerly point in Ireland
passing magnificent beaches and dramatic
mountains. Places of interest here include The Blasket
Islands, Gallarus Oratory (an early Christian church
from the 6th century) and The Beehive
Huts (tiny houses over 4,000 years old).
The film ‘Ryan’s Daughter was filmed on Slea Head
on the peninsula in 1970. On the way home you will
stop off at Inch beach to stretch your legs and
enjoy the Atlantic breeze!
