Teacher Training Courses
Our
Teacher
Refresher
Courses
are designed for Non-native speakers who wish to spend a week
improving their teaching skills whilst also improving their overall
language fluency and accuracy. This is particularly useful for those
whose formal training ìs not in EFL but who are now teaching EFL
either in mainstream education or in evening classes.
If you have a group of
teachers that wish to take part in such a programme
(a minimum of five), it is possible for us to create a package that
will suit all your needs more specifically. Below are a few different
options:
If there is any other
combination which would be more suited to your needs, please contact
us. We would be delighted to create a package which is of the most
benefit to you.
An
initial
questionnaire
is
sent to all participants prior to the course to better understand their
background and needs. The course is delivered
through a mixture of workshops and lectures and involves discussion and
analysis from participants.
Below is a list of the
possible Teacher Training components which can be covered (this will
vary depending on the needs of the group and the course package)

Accommodation:
There are plenty
of accommodation choices available (see
accommodation for
more
information)
but two of the most popular choices
for teachers are
self
catering in the incredible range of holiday
homes available in the
Killarney area and also host
families. We have a databank of
suitable families that are delighted to accommodate students of all
ages, even families if you wished to bring your children and spouses
with you. These host families often have
children too so it is to some extent possible to match ages and
interests. The host family accommodation package provides breakfast,
board and evening meal. Lunches are given as packed lunch. In addition,
there are many wonderful B & Bs and hotels in Killarney all
offering great value for money.
