Animals & Wildlife

There is a wide variety of wildlife in the Park. We have 2 breed of deer; Native Irish red deer and Japanese sika deer. We have a local breed of cattle; The Kerry Black. Also because so many horses are used in Killarney for work and pleasure, horses are everywhere. Killarney is also famous for horses.

There are many different variety of birds in the park. As well as squirrels and our own indigenous slug!
