General English Intensive Course for Adults
GE2 combines morning General English with additional afternoon group lessons. Choose 20, 25 or 30 hours of English tuition per week. This course is for adults only.

All options include 15 hours of morning General English, plus afternoon group lessons. Prices are per person, per week.

Who is GE2 for?
GE2 is for adults aged 18 and over who want more English tuition each week than the standard morning course. The additional afternoon lessons provide extra practice and opportunities to focus on the needs of the group.
No minimum English level is required. Classes are available from beginner to advanced, subject to suitable placement and availability. A placement test helps us select the right class for your current English ability.
Teaching location
Classes take place at our main school on Muckross Road, beside Killarney National Park.

What you study
General English with additional practice.
Morning classes develop listening, speaking, reading and writing, with particular emphasis on oral communication. Afternoon lessons provide further English practice, with content adapted to the group’s level and learning needs.
Speaking
Develop oral communication through practice and class interaction.
Listening
Work on understanding spoken English through appropriate class tasks.
Reading
Practise using texts selected for the group’s English level.
Writing
Develop written English alongside the other language skills.

Monday to Friday
Morning and afternoon lessons.
The morning General English timetable is the same for all three GE2 options.
Afternoon tuition
Afternoon lessons are scheduled within the 2:00–5:00pm period. The amount of afternoon tuition depends on your chosen option: 5, 10 or 15 hours per week.
Your exact afternoon timetable will be confirmed by the school. Only the 30-hour option includes 15 hours of afternoon tuition, equivalent to three hours each weekday.
