Since 2000, our family-run school has welcomed international students to Killarney. Husband and wife Feargal and Nicola own and manage the school, supported by a team who get to know each student.
Teenagers study separately from adults and younger children at our summer teenage school in Lisivigeen, on the outskirts of Killarney. Spacious classrooms and a sports hall give students room to learn, socialise and take part in activities.
Killarney’s lakes, mountains and National Park bring English to life beyond the classroom. Our Teen Coordinator oversees the programme and helps students settle in, while experienced teachers encourage everyone to take part.

Confidence in the classroom
Our qualified teachers make lessons interactive, with conversations, pair work, discussions, role play and games. Speaking and listening sit alongside grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and writing.
With a maximum of 12 students, everyone has opportunities to contribute and receive personal attention. Classes bring together different nationalities whenever possible, making English a shared language.
Students complete an online placement test before arrival. Teachers also assess spoken English at the start of the course, helping each teenager find the right class from Beginner to Advanced (A1–C1).
Afternoons with a sense of adventure
Cycle through Killarney National Park, try a new sport or discover the lakes by boat. With GE3, afternoons are a chance to use English naturally while sharing experiences with your new friends.
Our programme combines outdoor adventure, team activities and Irish culture. Saturday excursions take the group further afield, with destinations such as Blarney Castle, Cork City, beaches or adventure centres.

We introduce individual teenage students to one another, helping them become a group and settle into school life together.
A managed WhatsApp group for individual teen students includes the Teen Supervisor, Academic Manager and Managing Director. It provides essential programme information, answers to questions and help checking departure arrangements.
Our Teen Coordinator supports students and teachers and organises afternoon activities. School staff supervise organised classes, activities and excursions, and the team is available to help with questions during the stay.

A welcome beyond the classroom
A carefully selected Irish host family offers a welcoming place to stay and opportunities to use English beyond school. All our host families are Garda vetted.
Students normally have a single bedroom unless another arrangement is requested, with fresh linen and space for their belongings. Meals follow the accommodation plan booked, and laundry arrangements can be discussed with the family.

Yes. Teenagers travelling without their parents must take GE3, English + activities. We introduce individual students to one another and provide support through our teenage team and managed WhatsApp group. Please contact us about accommodation and travel arrangements before booking.
Our summer teenage school is at Lisivigeen National School, on the outskirts of Killarney. A daily school bus connects the teenage school and our main Muckross Road school.
We offer classes from Beginner to Advanced (A1–C1). An online test before arrival and a spoken assessment at the start of the course help us choose the right class.
They are included in GE3: 15 hours of English, 15 hours of weekday afternoon activities and a Saturday day trip. GE1 includes morning English only and is available to teenagers staying with their parents.
The current published weekly course fees are €350 for GE1 and €550 for GE3. Accommodation and any additional services are separate. Email us your dates and requirements for a confirmed quote.
