I really liked my class and my teacher. Her lessons were very interesting and I learned a lot.

Super recommended. They accept children from 3 years old. Children up to 12 are in the same facilities as their parents and teenagers go to another school. From my point of view everything is facilities both for teaching and for activities or something that happens to you during your stay. We have already gone two summers with them and we will repeat if we can

Since 2018, we have participated in the summer program offered by KSOE every summer. We spend two or three weeks with students aged 12-18 and, it must be said, it is an excellent language immersion experience. In fact, the program offered by KSOE is solid and reliable: the teachers and supervisors of the afternoon activities are excellent professionals and the families who host us in their homes are carefully chosen, taking into account the needs of the students.
The afternoon activities are focused on getting to know the local culture and landscape: discovering the national park, enjoying nature, trying traditional dances and sports… The activities are active, dynamic and liked by the students.
In addition, safety is also an aspect to emphasize, namely, the organization of the program guarantees almost complete care for the students: since they have a private transport service between the families’ homes and the school, no one gets lost. Furthermore, the KSOE management team and coordinators are not only very friendly, but they also show great care to ensure that everything goes smoothly during the stay and make a great effort to make everything go smoothly.

The KSOE summer program is definitely something to recommend and repeat. We will definitely be back!

KSO is a wonderful English school with a truly welcoming and supportive atmosphere. From the very first day, you feel cared for and encouraged. I want to give a very special thank you to Sheena, who is simply the best. Even though she isn’t a teacher, her support, kindness, and constant encouragement make a huge difference. She is always there to help, to listen, and to make you feel comfortable and confident.

Killarney is a wonderful destination for a language trip with families. The average age tends to be slightly higher, and young adults were only present in small numbers. Many participants make use of the fact that the program is compatible with children/teenagers. The school is very well organized and responds flexibly to change requests. In my case, I was even able to book additional lessons beyond my original booking and register my daughter for individual activities. There is a weekly pub night that students can attend to meet up outside of school.

The teachers are all very warm and welcoming, and the lessons just flew by. Questions and requests were handled very well.

The host family was chosen very appropriately for us. We were very happy, as it gave us even more insight into the country and its people.

We would definitely do this trip again – it was a great experience.

All the activities were fantastic, and once again, it must be said that the school had everything wonderfully organized.”

We are an italian family with three daughters age 13, 10 and 7 years old
We enrolled them for two weeks of general English plus activities in the afternoon and they had a great experience. We highly recommend KSOE for their offering, location and staff attitude (warm and welcoming).
The afternoon program for teens was engaging and with variety (golf, cinema, basketball, boat in the park and much more)
I am very satisfied with the “school atmosphere”, it is the right size, for sure we were lucky with a great mix of nationalities.
School is almost within Killarney National Park and it has a great outdoor space with a playground.
Kids lessons take place in small containers and there are five different levels which ensures a good differentiation based on level of English

Great experience for my daughter last summer. Beautiful town, excellent teachers and activities. Great host family also. We should repeat

The Killarney School of English was a safe, well organized and nice place for our 15 years old son. I can surely recommend it. Preparing the stay I had a nice phone call with Feargal, the leader of the school and we wrote each other several e-mails because we had the problem that our son has a lot of allergies against animals including horse and also several severe food allergies. Feargal was so honest and responsible to write me in the beginning: “However Killarney is a town famous for Jaunting cards (horse and carriages) so if he is hyper allergic to horses I cannot guarantee he would not pick up something from the general environment. Maybe a city school would be better?”. In the end we parents decided that our son should go to Killarney School of English because he did a hiking trip at Killarney the week before and the flight back home from the language school was already booked. So we were really thankful that Feargal accepted our very allergic child. At Killarney our son just reacted once slightly allergic against horses during a journey by bus to an activity with pupils from an other language school who probabely had horse hairs in their clothes because there was a horse pasture next to their language school and we guess they had petted the horses there before going to the bus. But also this allergic reaction wasn´t a problem for the school. He took his pills against allergy, stopped the journey and someone from the language school came by car and brought him to his guest familiy the school had called before.
The next problem for the school before our son could arrive was to find a guest family for him without pets because most Irish families have dogs or cats as Feargal wrote. Feargal said that he would find a guest family for him but it would take him some time and would probably be just around one week before the language school started. And he kept his word: Just around one week before the start of the language school we got the data of his guest family and some nice pictures of their house. The guest family was absolutely nice, our son loved his guest parents and his nine years old guest brother and enjoyed his stay with them so much! We parents were relieved that his guest father was chief, so the guest parents could handle his food allergies very well and they had no pets. The first day our son hated the language school and wanted to end it at once. He was the only pupil from Germany so it wasn´t the easiest start for him because the other pupils came from France, Spain, Japan and one girl from Italy, but that circumstance forced him to speak English what was helpful to learn the language seen with the eyes of us parents. Today, after one week at the language school on the way home at the transit area of the Cork airport, he said that it was quite good at the language school and that he feels much more confidence to speak English now and he had understood that grammar was not as bad as he thought it would be and that he wants to go on learning the English grammar and vokabulary at home. The transfer to the airport today was well organized as everything during his stay at the language school. A driver drove him with enough time cushion to the airport where they met a very nice teacher from the language school who helped our son to check in and brought him to the transit area where he now waits to fly back home to Germany.

One of the strongest aspects of my stay was the host family. I feel they were very well matched to my needs and personality. They were kind, respectful, and supportive, and I really appreciated the conversations we had and the time we spent together.

At school, there was a very positive atmosphere between students and teachers. The relationship was professional but warm, which helped create a friendly and almost family-like environment. The teachers were engaging and open, and I felt comfortable asking questions and participating in class.

Another highlight was the location — absolutely beautiful. The natural surroundings, peaceful streets, and access to the coast made my stay not only educational but also refreshing on a personal level.

<< My language course in Killarney was a great experience. The school is manageable and therefore also kept familiar. The teachers are very well prepared and do their best to provide interesting and varied lessons. The afternoon activities were according to different interests and were always accompanied by guides/teachers from the school. My host family was very caring, supportive and always willing to talk about anything. The food was great. I couldn’t have asked for better hosts.

We attended the Killarney School of English the first week of July. I wanted to introduce my daughter to the english language while I would have the opportunity to refresh my own knowledge. The teaching and service provided by the school was way above our expectations. My daughter is still talking about this wonderful holiday, we kept in touch with some of the friends she made there and she even sings little songs in english by herself from time to time. I am planning for a longer stay next year!

I just want to write a few words about our experience in Killarney during the last week in order to express our gratitude to all the members of your staff but specialy with those who we more intenselly interacted.

Thanks to Samantha for her profesionality and continious efforts to make us learn something useful during just four, but intense, classes. She takes her job seriously (but with a lot of sense of humour) and I really appreciate it.

Thanks to Nicola for giving me the opportunity to practice my English in the long conversations (probably not that much but it was a hard effort for me) with her. She always showed patience and interest in my doubts and questions. I really appreciate her hospitality.

The course, content and level were great. I’ve learned many new words and expressions. E is a great teacher. He is able to involve every person to a conversation. I like his method of using newspaper’s articles in lessons. It helps to learn modern language and to learn more about current life in the country. Also he is very optimistic, has a good sense of humour and his accent is very understandable. Host family My stay was very pleasant. Catherine is a good host, she is a very good cook and tried to help me every time I asked for.

My son Alex and me were in Killarney for a week. We were in the School during the week 18 – 22 July. We had a lovely time there! We´ll repeat the experience for sure!
